Vancouver Canucks Goalie Almost Gets Stuck In Own Shirt (Video)
By Cory Buck
Vancouver Canucks goaltender Eddie Lack was caught on camera struggling mightily with his shirt to the point of worrying if he’d ever surface again.
Shirts can be tricky when they’re long and you’re sweaty and you’ve just removed a hundred pounds of goalie equipment. Just ask Canucks backup Eddie Lack, who in the background of a Ryan Miller interview ( props to the camera guy for the oddly appropriate angle) was caught struggling with his shirt for a few more seconds than maybe you’d like to see someone struggle when removing their shirt.

The little jump before he finally gets the shirt off is the best part. Like he has thrown his whole body into that little motion just to get the shirt sort of off.
Fortunately we see a happy ending to Lack’s struggle as he makes it to the other side, but he does hit that point where you wonder if a water boy is going to have to pop up from out of sight and help out. This is nothing new for NHL goalies though.
That padding is huge and awkward and it requires an intricate suit of straps and props to hold it all together.
Unfortunately Lack was pretty much down to a shirt and sweats in that video so there goes that. Props to the Canucks goalie for ultimately recovering and making a play presumably for the shower.
