In Boston’s defense, their slew of opponents over the past week was probably the toughest in the NBA: the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs. But like the Celtics themselves, the defense stops pretty quickly when you consider their only win of the last three weeks came against Philly. <p> </p> <p>Maybe we spoke too soon labeling Boston as a playoff dark horse in the East, but then again, Boston is somehow only one and a half games away from a playoff spot. Marcus Smart should be back soon and Jared Sullinger is playing the best basketball of his career, but that’s pretty much where the good news ends.
