Kevin Love Squashes Rumors Of His Jumping To Lakers
Kevin Love (for now, at least) finally put to rest rumors of his stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers being a one-and-done, stating that he plans to team up with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving for years to come.

The 2014-15 NBA season had barely started when rumors of Kevin Love skipping out on the potential Cleveland Cavaliers dynasty after one year in order to play for the Los Angeles Lakers began to perk up. Cleveland’s slow start helped fuel the rumors, but Love finally took to the airwaves to squash any prospects of him heading for fun, sun and playing with Kobe Bryant.
Love dropped in on ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the Morning, where the question (obviously) came up. Love then took to it like a pick-and-roll and effectively responded.
“Since I was traded to Cleveland this summer, I’ve said since Day 1 that I’m a Cleveland Cavalier long term,” he said, “and I plan for it to be that way. I want to grow with this team.”
Love, who is averaging 17.9 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, added, “If I could end all the speculation now, I would. But people are going to continue to talk no matter what. I just want to continue getting better with this team long term. I’m a Cleveland Cavalier.”
In short, the only way anyone will see Love in a Lakers uniform would be to make a run to Best Buy in order to pick up a copy of NBA2K15 and insert him into via the fantasy team mode.
