LeBron James, as expected, is sporting an “I Can’t Breathe” shirt during warm ups before the Cavs’ game with the Brooklyn Nets.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Brooklyn Nets are getting set to do battle on the court in the Barclays Center on Monday night, but before the game, LeBron James decided that he’d put basketball to the side for a little bit and show his support for one of the main issues in the country right now.

Just a short time ago James and his teammates hit the court for warm ups before their game with the Nets, and as was reported for some time now, LeBron was indeed sporting an “I Can’t Breathe” shirt in support of Eric Garner.

The news of Garner and the issues surrounding his death in New York City has sparked a lot of protests throughout the country and LeBron is not the only athlete to stand up for the cause, however he may indeed be the most famous.

In talking to reporters before the game on Monday, James noted that he is sporting the shirt for no other reason than to stand up for the cause.

Teammate Kyrie Irving is also expected to wear one as well.
