NFL: Ranking The 5 MVP Candidates Through Week 14
By Evan Massey
4. Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
There will be some people that don’t believe that Tom Brady should be listed above Peyton Manning this season, but that simply isn’t correct. Brady has been the main reason that the New England Patriots are sitting at 10-3 on the season and are in first place in the AFC. He has stepped up and come through with huge performances and has also found ways to lead by example on and off the field.
Brady has thrown for 3,560 yards, 30 touchdowns, and seven interceptions on the season. Those numbers are not as good as Manning’s in some ways, but considering that he has far less to work with as far as weapons are concerned, they aren’t bad at all. New England has no business being the best team in the AFC this season, but Brady has powered them to this point.
The Patriots have been a title contender almost every single year since Brady took over at quarterback, and that is the case once again this year. They may not end up having enough talent to get things done in the playoffs, but with Brady at the helm anything is possible.
Next: 3. Andrew Luck
