New York Giants D/ST (37.7%)

The Giants defense has taken things up a notch the last two weeks despite a weird loss to the Jags in week 13 when they allowed Jacksonville to come back in the second half on the strength of a pair of defensive touchdowns which can’t be held against the D.  Despite the final, the D/ST still had a solid defensive game discovering a pass rush and picking up seven sacks.

They brought the heat again this week against the Titans finishing with eight more sacks and forcing three turnovers.  They knocked Zach Mettenberger from the game and scored on a 26-yard fumble return.  The only points scored against the Giants came on an interception return, so the defense allowed zero offensive points.  Depending on how you’re league scores defenses, they may have gotten credit for the shutout.

This week, New York takes on the Redskins who the Rams shut out last week.  Washington also has quarterback issues with Colt McCoy injured and Robert Griffin III struggling.  With the mess that Washington’s offense has been, the Giants are a top ten defense this week at home and the best streaming option from the week 15 waiver wire.
