27. Eddie George

Eddie George is the epitome of a “workhorse back” in the NFL. George never led the league in yards-per-carry or anything like that, but he consistently carried the load, literally, for the Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans.

In his nine seasons in the league, George failed to break 1,000 yards only twice, and one of those times was in his final year as a backup for the Dallas Cowboys.

George isn’t the most skilled of the backs on the list, but he knew what he was good at and he ran over people.
