Cleveland Browns

Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel? That question was asked all week in Cleveland. At first glance, putting up 24 points in a one-point loss to the Indianapolis Colts would look like Hoyer played a good game. However, Hoyer completed just 14 passes out of 31 attempts. Hoyer also threw two touchdowns. Now a game back behind everyone in the AFC North and each team still having to play at least one other team in the division, things aren’t looking good for the Browns. This might be the week to start Johnny Manziel. When you have a quarterback playing as bad as Hoyer, you need to give your team a shot in the arm. Inserting Manziel in the starting lineup would do just that.

For their next three games, the Browns will host the Bengals and then finish on road against the Carolina Panthers and the Ravens. Cleveland no longer controls their own destiny and they will need the Bengals to help them in the division as Cleveland has the tiebreaker over Cincinnati. Mike Pettine has done a great job in his first season. Like the Bills, with another offseason and draft to work with, the Browns will only improve going forward.
