14. Fran Tarkenton
1961-1978
47,003 Yards, 342 Touchdowns, 266 Interceptions

One of the best two-way quarterbacks of all time was Fran Tarkenton of the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. He was able to tear defenses apart with his arm, but also was able to keep the football himself and carve them up on the ground. There haven’t been too many quarterbacks that have had the ability or play style that Tarkenton had during his playing days.

Tarkenton was a nine-time Pro Bowler throughout his career and was named a one-time first team All-Pro as well. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1986. During his career, he won the 1975 MVP award and also was named the Player of the Year. Despite all of his success, he was unable to win a Super Bowl in three chances.

His best season came in 1975 when he threw for 2,994 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions while also rushing for two touchdowns. Tarkenton compiled a career 130-114-6 record and also had a 6-5 postseason record.
