Bruce Arians finishes off the Rams in a post game press conference taking a shot at their perennial mediocrity.

More from Arizona Cardinals

Arians who is becoming one of the premier head coaches in the league right now takes a shot at the Rams after his team’s gutsy performance dropping St. Louis 12-6 in Thursday Night Football. Arians, who was perhaps upset at some of his critics fired off some choice words:

"“I love it when nobody says you have a chance to win. There is an 11-3 team and a team that is always 8-8,” Arians said. “You figure it out.”"

Arians, whose team has battled through a multitude of injuries and lost starters Carson Palmer, then Drew Stanton was down to the third string QB. The Cards were also without starting RB Andre Ellington and a host of defenders including the Honeybadger  Tyrann Matthieu looked like a team capable of doing some damage come playoff time this season.

Arizona has showed a ton of grit and as we see it definitely flows from the head coach down. Arians is just the kind of guy the NFL needs more of. We love to see this kind of fire, good healthy trash that is represened by on the field play. Not the kind of talk that is degrading of a person just good old smash mouth kind of football. Arians was also quoted on NFL.com as saying this:

"“Everybody wanted to talk all that stuff about how great their defense is. I think they saw a good defense tonight, it was in red and white,” Arians said before talking about his team’s 143 rushing yards. “We blocked them. I think they had been reading their press clippings way too much.”"

Oh the playoffs are going to be a much better place with Bruce Arians! Buckle up everyone and enjoy the season!
