Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys came out of his last matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles with a bloody lip and a crushing loss. With the rematch looming, he says it’s nothing personal.
Dez Bryant accused the Philadelphia Eagles of being “kinda cheap” after he was smacked around on Thanksgiving Day.
Bryant finished the game with a bloody lip as the Dallas Cowboys were crushed on national TV at home, 33-10.
Dallas makes the return visit to the City of Brotherly Love (and busted lips) on Sunday night, needing a win to even the season series and to move into first place in the NFC East.
Given the stakes, Bryant says what he said a few weeks ago shouldn’t be festering in the Eagles’ beaks.
"“It’s really nothing personal,” Bryant told ESPN Dallas. “I just spoke how I felt, that’s all. It’s really nothing personal. You got to stay focused and try to get the W.”"
Dallas has gotten the W nine times this season, guaranteeing at least a winning record after three straight 8-8 campaigns.

But to get their first playoff berth since 2009, it could be a dog fight. Three teams—the Cowboys, Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks—come into Week 15 tied at 9-4 with only two wild-card spots available.
The Eagles are also 9-4, but lead the division on the strength of the head-to-head win in their first meeting.
Bryant had four catches for 73 yards in the loss, 38 of them coming on one play. He has already topped the 1,000-yard mark this season—the third straight year he’s done so—with 73 receptions for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns.
So when Bryant is running his routes through the Eagle secondary, those defensive backs would be well served to remember that when he called you “kinda cheap,” it was nothing personal.
Sort of like your friends really didn’t “mean it in a bad way” when they busted your chops over that Hawaiian shirt you decided to wear.
