Ex-Saints star Darren Sharper has been indicted on rape charges in Louisiana.

After being arrested due to rape accusations, Darren Sharper, former NFL safety for the New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers, has officially been indicted in the city of New Orleans.
"Former Saints safety Darren Sharper and two other men could face life sentences after being charged Friday in a nine-count grand jury indictment stemming from multiple rape allegations in New Orleans.Sharper was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape stemming from accusations that he sexually assaulted two impaired women at his downtown luxury apartment on Sept. 23, 2013. Sharper was additionally charged with simple rape of a different woman on Aug. 31, 2013."
The initial accusations which led to arrest in Los Angeles in January on Sharper came as a surprise to many as the ex-safety was a charitable figure for New Orleans and prior to. Following arrest, Sharper was immediately removed as a correspondent for NFL Network.
According to the courts, Sharper is under investigation for eight alleged rapes and 11 druggings in four separate states (Louisiana, Nevada, Arizona, California).
As mentioned above, if convicted, Sharper could possibly face life in prison. Just goes to show we don’t really know these guys outside of the persona they deliver to the masses daily/weekly during sporting events.
