Kobe Bryant takes to the court tonight against the San Antonio Spurs needing 31 points to overtake Jordan in career points. The Black Mamba is fired up much more-so than his team who has managed to record a paltry 6 wins on the season. Bryant will see the stingy defense of the World Champion Spurs who I am certain will not want to be the team who lets the Mamba loose.

Bryant will also be tasked with having to do this on the Spurs home court where the Spurs have an 8-1 record. Kobe shown above warming up for the game has been challenging his teammates to up their level of play and hopefully start notching out some more ‘W’s for the win column despite what Magic Johnson and others have recently said about trying to have a better shot at the Jahlil Okafor lottery better known as the NBA draft lottery.

This will certainly be must watch TV tonight as the Mamba closes in on Jordan’s spot on the NBA’s scoring list. Kobe has had six 30 point games thus far this season and as we all know Kobe has the ability to drop 50 ponts or more especially in the national spotlight and with Jordan and the rest of the world watching. My guess is the record is the only thing Kobe will be looking to pass.
