NFL: Top Candidates For MVP In 2014

As the NFL season heads into the stretch run, we take a look at the candidates for NFL MVP. These are the five players doing the best job in helping their teams get into the playoffs. 

The NFL season is in its stretch run. There are just three games left in the season. The successful teams are jockeying for playoff position. They are leading on their best players to get them over the top and into the second season.

Some of those players that are leaned on are having great seasons. So great, in fact, that they are garnering consideration for the NFL’s MVP award.

We will take a look at the top contenders for MVP. These are the five best performers thus far. There may be surprises as to who is on the final five, as well as surprises on who is left out.

One player who is left out of this list is Peyton Manning. He has had a very good year, but he has not been the same Manning that we have seen over the years. This season he seems more human. Could it be that one of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL has started his descent, and his end is around the corner?
