Sophomore tight end Eric Nzeocha knew what to do when he witnessed his roommate and teammate, Xavier Lewis, having difficulty speaking Wednesday night.
No matter how the rest of his career at Wyoming goes, sophomore tight end Eric Nzeocha may never make a greater catch.

Nzeocha noticed his roommate, sophomore safety Xavier Lewis, begin to have trouble speaking.
The tight end knew what to do—asking Lewis to speak and write something down. When Lewis could do neighter, Nzeocha suspected his 19-year-old teammate was having a stroke and drove him to the hospital.
Lewis was taken by life-flight helicopter from Laramie, Wyo., to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo., according to the Casper Star-Tribune, where he is undergoing tests.
"“Not only did he notice what was wrong, he knew what to ask him” Lewis’ father, Quentin Lewis, said of Nzeocha."
The father said that Nzeocha and wide receiver Justin Berger drove to Englewood to see Lewis, while many coaches have either called or visited. Head coach Craig Bohl checked in via telephone from a recruiting trip in California.
"“The team has been behind him,” Quentin Lewis said. “The coaches have called to see how he was doing, so I’m really appreciative of all that from the program.”"
Lewis, from Aurora, Colo., played in 11 games this season and made nine tackles.
Quentin Lewis said there is no family history of stroke and that Xavier had never had any serious health issues.
But the father knew who saved the day … and likely his son’s life.
"“Eric Nzeocha saved him,” Quentin Lewis said. “You have to give him the most accolades ever. The kids that have now stood behind Xavier, to me as a parent, that’s the best thing in the world.”"
Nzeocha, from Neusitz, Germany, has an older brother, Mark, who is a linebacker at Wyoming.
