49ers safety Eric Reid jjst absolutely obliterated Seahawks wide receiver Paul Richardson and got a questionable flag thrown on him.

For those of you that are of the belief that the NFL is getting a little too soft with their roughing calls, well, you’re not gonna like what happened with 49ers safety Eric Reid on Sunday.

The Seahawks are taking on the 49ers in an NFC West showdown, so you know that the hits are coming in this one. Well on one play for the Seahawks, Russell Wilson found Paul Richardson over the middle. Unfortunately for Richardson, Reid was waiting right there to make one of his signature big hits.

Oh, and did he ever lay the lumber to Richardson.

Now most people would call that a nice, clean, old fashioned football shot. Well, the referees, of course, do not agree with that sentiment.

As you would expect nowadays, Reid was indeed flagged on the play and Seattle was given an additional 15 yards for the act; even though it’s pretty clear that there was nothing that Reid could do on the play to make it any better.

What do you think? Dirty hit, or no? Let us know in the comments below.
