Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George isn’t playing this season, but he has been more than happy to chime in on things around the league that he has seen. His latest comment was about the Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan debate, and he made it clear that he believes Bryant is the second coming of Jordan.

Bryant just passed Jordan’s scoring mark, and moved into third place All-Time in NBA scoring. He has the same type of game that Jordan had when he played, and has proven that he deserves the comparisons to Jordan. George agrees that Bryant and Jordan are similar players, and his opinion does matter.

Take a look at the comments that George made on the subject.

"“It’s so hard to compare anyone to Michael, but I think it’s fair to say Kobe is the second coming of MJ. Kobe has transcended the league the same way I felt Michael did.”"

It is an interesting debate that is very fun to talk about with other NBA fans, and almost every fan you run into will have a different take on the topic.

All of that being said, the fact of the matter is that Bryant passed the record and has now scored more than Jordan did. There are other areas that can be talked about, but the scoring is extremely similar between the two legends. Bryant has worked through some very nasty injuries over the past couple of seasons to get to this point, and his work ethic is something that can never be questioned.

The Lakers have been lucky to have Bryant throughout his entire career, and they have made it clear that they have no interest in moving on from him even as he gets older. Bryant is still playing a very dominant style of basketball, and he is still the unquestioned leader of the team. Expect to see him continue playing strong basketball this season assuming he is able to stay healthy.
