Coach of the Year

Bruce Arians – Arizona Cardinals

Arizona clinched their spot in the playoffs this week, and did so with their third string quarterback under center at the end of the game. Arians and his staff have been turning water into wine all season. If the Cardinals can top Seattle at home next Sunday, they’ll win the division and Arians will win this award in a landslide.

Jim Caldwell – Detroit Lions

Jim Caldwell’s Lions won again, even though it wasn’t pretty. They’ve now got the lead in the division and are sitting in the No. 2 seed in the playoffs just behind Arizona. Caldwell has this team on the verge of clinching a playoff spot.

Bill Belichick – New England Patriots

The Patriots clinched their division with a win over Miami. All that’s left for them in the regular season is the battle for home field advantage in the playoffs. It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that everyone was lamenting the lack of weapons around quarterback Tom Brady on offense.
