Rajon Rondo Trade Rumors: 5 Teams Who Could Make A Deal Happen

Why Would They Want Rondo: Despite having a plethora of guards on roster, the Suns need a superstar that can either mentor Eric Bledsoe or provide a one-two punch with him. That’s where Rondo comes into play but if they can’t convince him to stay long term then Jeff Green becomes key in this deal. Adding those two players may turn the Suns season around and get them back to the Cinderella team they were last year.
Can They Afford Him: Of the teams who could make a trade for Rondo, the Suns have the most to offer. They could legitimately offer Goran Dragic, P.J. Tucker, Alex Len, T.J. Warren and Miles Plumlee and still have enough talent to win with Rondo and Green. They’re an insanely deep team with a ton of young talent that erases the need for a rebuilding process.
Will They Pull Off A Trade: I’d love to see this trade happen, and Phoenix could do it if they wanted to. Boston has been open to trading both Rondo and Green, which is perfect since the Suns have inquired about Green in the past, making a deal that much more attractive to them now.
