The Colorado Rockies and All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki have a weird relationship that currently involves trade talks with the New York Mets.

For the better part of a year, the Colorado Rockies have seemingly been doing their best o run Troy Tulowitzki out of town. They had some run ins last season that made headlines, from his season-endnig injury to the misspelling of his name on his jersey night at Coors Field, it’s been a weird year for the Rockies and their All-Star.

All of this has led to endless trade rumors involving Troy Tulowitzki, as the New York Mets continue to circle the tank to see if he’s going to drop in and an offer that Colorado likes can be made.

According to both Jon Heyman from CBSSports and Ken Rosenthal from FOX Sports, the Rockies and Mets have been discussing a Troy Tulowitzki trade but nothing has come of the talks as of yet.

This isn’t the first time that trade talks about Tulowitzki have some up betwixt these two teams and it probably won’t be the last either. But so far no trade has been made and there seems to be a lot that needs to happen before the shortstop is shipped off to New York.

If one thing has been made clear though, it’s that the Rockies have little interest in being over backwards to keep Troy Tulowitzki around, and a trade will probably happen at some point this season.
