Golfer Beans Himself With His Own Drive (Video)
By Phil Watson
Having been a bad golfer for many years, there have been many less-than-proud moments on ranges and courses. But hitting yourself in the head with your drive?
Have you ever hit yourself in the head with your own drive?
Not your driver. Your drive.
This poor guy managed to pull that off, certainly ending what had to be the worst day at the driving range ever.
The physics involved in that shot are mind-boggling. Or as one of Will Ferrell’s characters might say, “Mind-bottling.”

He hit himself. In the head. With his own drive.
I do recall an incident at a golf course, has to be 20-some odd years ago now (I’m old, sue me), when I hit someone else with my drive … when they were standing directly behind me.
Caught the ball so far out off the toe of the driver that it shot straight out at a 90-degree angle from the fairway, hit the tee marker and smacked the guy standing behind me in the upper arm.
As he was the member of our regular awful golf foursome who talked the most smack, this was not an entirely unfortunate event.
But hitting myself in the head with the ball? No, I’ve never managed to pull that one off and I’m pretty sure I’m not going to rush out and try.
As for our hero in the video above? He’s needs to feel fortunate he wasn’t playing darts.
