With just two games remaining in the NFL season, some coaches are feeling a lot of heat. Their teams have not performed as well as they should have, and since you can’t fire an entire team, you can do the next best thing, fire the coach.

December 29, 2014. That is a date of great significance for many teams. It is Black Monday, the day after the last regular season game of the season, when teams who are looking to change directions of their fortunes decide to fire their coaches.

When teams do poorly, there are a number of factors. A big reason is that the players just did not play well enough to win. Since you cannot fire an entire team, however, the next best thing is firing the coach.

Usually, when Black Monday comes, coaches are fired in bulk. Last season, five coaches were fired on that day. In 2012, seven coaches were fired.

There will be another group of coaches this year who will be facing the expiration of their jobs almost as soon as time expires on their last game.

Here are the coaches who will need to update their resumes after Black Monday.
