Common opponents:

NONE

Prediction:

On paper, everything points to Air Force having a distinct advantage in this game. They beat Boise State and Colorado State, one of whom made a New Years Six bowl, and the other was in consideration for one. The Broncos’ signature win was over Bowling Green.

So why is Western Michigan favored on the should-be-illegal blue field of Boise? Jarvion Franklin. Never heard of him? That’s what YouTube is for.

Franklin ran for 1,525 yards and a whopping 24 touchdowns as a true freshman. He is already the best player in the MAC. Can you imagine what the next two or three years will be like for this conference? He is easily the best back that Air Force has had to face this year.

This will likely be a close game, but I just have the feeling that Franklin will shine in his first chance on a national stage.

Pick: Western Michigan
