Washington Nationals Fans Are Not Happy About The Dan Uggla Signing
By Jack Crosby
The Washington Nationals signed second baseman Dan Uggla and the fans are not happy about it whatsoever.
As we’ve seen in recent years, the Washington Nationals are just on the cusp of getting themselves to the World Series. A few key signings in the offseason could be the difference in getting them over the postseason hump. But, many would agree that their recent signing of Dan Uggla to a minor league deal with a shot at spring training is not one of these difference makers.
Yes, on Friday the team announced the signing of the struggling veteran, and well, needless to say Nationals fans are not pleased at all with the news.
All you have to do for evidence to this is look at some of the overwhelming responses to the announcement on twitter, because quite frankly, they’re pretty damn amazing.
Hey, calm down there, Braves fan. Your organization has their own issues.
Death. Some of these Nationals fans are choosing death.
So…yeah, not a lot of happiness in Washington right now.
