Before bowl games, the teams squaring off spend some time competing in other activities or bonding in some fashion. For instance, we saw the Auburn Tigers and Wisconsin Badgers go to Outback Steakhouse before they squared off in the restaurant’s bowl and devour thousands of pounds worth of food.
Well Notre Dame and the LSU Tigers are squaring off in the Music City Bowl and got together for a friendly competition before clashing on the gridiron, over a plate of hot wings. That’s right, a good old fashioned hot wing eating contest.
Clearly the folks at the Music City Bowl didn’t learn the lesson Outback did.
The winners were Notre Dame, which might be surprising considering Louisiana is known for spicy food.
They also live tweeted the contest and captured it on Vine.
