Can the Lions Finally Beat the Packers at Home?

Perhaps the craziest stat in all of football right now is the streak of the Detroit Lions losing at Lambeau Field. December 1991 was the last time the Lions beat the Green Bay Packers on the road. That is simply quite unfathomable considering that was 23 years ago. If the Lions can win this game, they will be the second seed and they will have a first-round bye.

If the Seahawks win in Week 17, the winner of this game will have the second seed in the NFC. On the other hand, the loser will have the sixth seed and they will travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys. Obviously, the Cowboys have had their struggles at home in 2014, but they just blew the doors off the Indianapolis Colts at Jerry’s World. Knowing that, the Packers and the Lions would much rather stay at home, get some rest, and play at the confines of their stadium in the divisional round rather than having to go to Dallas to play in the wild card round.
