4. New England Patriots

Having the Patriots on here at No. 4 may surprise a lot of people, but the fact of the matter is that the Patriots aren’t playing their best football. I’m not worried about their loss at home in Week 17 to the Buffalo Bills. What bothers me with the Patriots is how they have played the New York Jets twice and both games have been decided by a total of four points. The Jets are a 4-12 football team, and even though it’s a rivalry game, there is no excuse for playing that close of a ballgame twice to the lowly Jets.

The combination of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady is most certainly one of the most historic ones of all-time. I think the Patriots will get to the Super Bowl, but that has to do with more of their conference rather than their play. The AFC was extremely competitive this season, but I don’t see any team going into Foxboro Field and beating the Patriots. The Broncos are too inconsistent and besides Denver, no one scares me. The Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers are way too inconsistent. Perhaps the team that may have a chance to go into Foxboro and beat them is the Baltimore Ravens, but for them to do that, they will need to first beat the Steelers in the wild card round.
