Losers: Arizona Cardinals

You knew that it would catch up with them. You can’t change quarterbacks on an almost weekly basis and not have it eventually cause problems.

Ryan Lindley was the guy who finally knocked the house of cards down, throwing three interceptions in the 20-17 loss to San Francisco.

And yet, they still nearly pulled it off didn’t they? Lindley’s touchdown pass to Michael Floyd at the end of the third quarter put them ahead 17-13. The defense just couldn’t hold on.

Again though, that’s the problem with a shaky quarterback. Your defense stays on the field too long and eventually they tire enough to where they make a mistake in a critical moment.

Unfortunately, the loss solidified their spot as the No. 5 seed and forces them to head to Carolina to face the Panthers. It’s not an easy trip and the Panthers are looking like a team which began to heat up at just the right time.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals still need to figure out what to do at quarterback.
