New Year’s Eve has some fantastic bowl games lined up as the New Year’s Six begins, and it will all be capped off on Wednesday night with the Orange Bowl, pitting the Mississippi State Bulldogs against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Mississippi State, led by the dynamic Dak Prescott under center, comes into this one after one of the best seasons in the history of the program. At one point during the season, head coach Dan Mullen and his team were the No. 1 ranked team in the country and seemed poised for a national title run. While that didn’t quite come to fruition in the end, it was still an outstanding season in the end and they can put some nice icing on the cake with a win Wednesday night.
Georgia Tech comes in as the champions of the ACC Coastal division and are coming off a near upset of the Florida State Seminoles in the conference title game. Head coach Paul Johnson has shown once again that his triple-option attack can indeed work in the modern era, and now he will see if it can get his team the Orange Bowl trophy.
Mississippi State is no slouch in the running game either, so we could see some ground records broken in this one.
Here is how you can watch all of the Orange Bowl action live on Wednesday night.
