Power Ranking the 12 Quarterbacks in the NFL Playoffs
By Ryan Ratty
10. Joe Flacco
Although Joe Flacco us a Super Bowl-winning quarterback, the reality is that he is nothing more than a game manager at the quarterback position. In 2013, when the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl, they had a dominant defense that was led by Hall of Fame middle linebacker Ray Lewis. Also in that year, Flacco had two dynamic weapons in Anquan Boldin and Ray Rice. Both helped take pressure off Flacco and that made it easier for the Delaware alum to move the football.
Although they’re the sixth seed, the Ravens are a dangerous football team simply because they are led by John Harbaugh, who has already won a Super Bowl. The Ravens do not have a ton of offensive talent and their defense is without a few key players from their Super Bowl run a few years ago, however, Baltimore has it in their back pocket that the majority of their team has won a Super Bowl. Against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Flacco will face a team that he is familiar with. He will also be going up against one of the worst secondaries in the league as they rank 27th in the league in pass defense. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Ravens were able to come out of Pittsburgh with a win on Saturday.
