Cow Mascot gets caught in Dust Devil ‘Tornado’ at Rose Bowl Fan Fest (Video)

A dust devils ‘tornado’ hit the Rose Bowl Fan Fest and a cow mascot was nearly caught in the storm.

Some fans got more than they bargained for at this Rose Bowl Fan Fest. Fans were enjoying the festivities as they suddenly noticed that the wind was significantly picking up. They started seeing the tents getting blown up into the air and tried to steer clear of the flying debris.

Of all the days to wear a cow mascot costume.

The saddest part of the video was the poor cow mascot caught in the middle of it. You can see that the person inside the suit is terrified and doesn’t really know what to do. A cow mascot suit isn’t exactly the ideal clothing of choice when trying to run away as fast as you can. Another individual tries to help the cow mascot get to safety.

According to the weather report, this tiny tornado is called a ‘cold dust devil’. These dust devils are not the same thing as a regular tornado, as they are not associated with the weather and are mostly harmless. They are formed when the ground heats up and the warm air from the ground mixes with the cool air above and makes a vortex.

The swirling air is made visible by the dust and dirt on the ground, hence the name ‘dust devil’. They are most common in areas with loose dirt or sand.

Thankfully, no one was seriously injured. There were reports of four individuals having minor injuries, but nothing serious.

One part of this video that I feel is going unnoticed is about at the 0:40 mark of the video. One individual decides it would be a good idea to chase down one of the swirling tents and try to grab it and haul it down. In his valiant effort, he is able to grab hold of the tent and the tent picks him up and flings him to the ground like a rag doll.

Bruh, c’mon now. Not one of your smarter ideas, my man.
