In 2015, what are five NBA teams that could really use some good luck?

With the turn of the calendar to a whole new year, that means a new beginning for some. The new year is a great time to leave any forgettable history in the past year, with the perfect opportunity to move on and start fresh.

In the NBA, there are plenty of teams–and players–that would sure love to completely erase 2014 from their memory. Whether that means a bad ending to last season, a bad offseason, a bad beginning to the season, or a weird, unfortunate combination of the three, 2014 is now in the past. Those teams/players have an entire new year ahead of them to perhaps change any narrative that arose in 2014.

With 30 teams in the league, there are obviously more than five that could really use some good luck to begin the new year. The rebuilding Timberwolves quietly have the third worst record in the NBA, the Knicks haven’t nearly gotten off to the start they expected, and the Nuggets haven’t been as competitive as they expected to be this season.

All of those teams and more could really use some good luck, and maybe they will leave their 2014 woes in the past. But, I see five more teams that really could use a turnaround in the new year, especially with the expectations placed on them.

And then of course, there’s some bad injury stuff, too.

Nonetheless, here are five teams that would benefit from some good luck on their side in 2o15.
