New Jersey governor Chris Christie is an outspoken Cowboys fan, and was seen hugging Jerry Jones after the Cowboys knocked off the Detroit Lions last week. Republican Paul Ryan was Mitt Romney’s vice presidential running mate in the last election, and is an outspoken Packers fan.
Ryan took to Twitter following the game to troll Christie, in what gave the game a bit of a political flavor.
Fans are always looking to troll fans of the teams they beat, and this one is a tough loss for Cowboys fans to endure. Not only did they lose to the Packers and get knocked out of the playoffs, they also have the majority of the NFL fan base laughing about the way the game ended.
Dallas defeated the Lions in the first round of the playoffs last week in dramatic fashion with the refs playing a prominent role. That was the case once again this week, but the Cowboys were upset with the referees themselves.
Christie can’t be too happy with the way that the game went down, and this type of tweet from Ryan likely wasn’t what he wanted to see.
