1. Green Bay’s Improved Pass Rush

One thing that the Green Bay Packers have improved in since their Week 1 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, is their pass rushing ability. Julius Peppers has stepped up in a huge way, while Clay Matthews has stayed impressive as well.

Green Bay ended up recording 41.0 sacks this past season, and it was a fairly balanced attack. Matthews led the way once again this year with 11.0, Peppers had 7.0, Mike Daniels had 5.5, Mike Neal had 4.5, and Letroy Guion had 3.5 on the year. Other players chipped in as well, but those were the main pass rushing threats.

If they want to defeat the Seahawks, they are going to have to put pressure on Russell Wilson while containing him from making plays with his legs. That is much easier said than done, but the Packers have a much better chance at doing it than they did in Week 1. Green Bay is going to give up some plays to Seattle, but they have to find ways to force Wilson to make mistakes.

Wilson is one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league, and he is a completely different type of challenge than what the Packers have faced since that first matchup between these two teams.
