A controversial video of Kurt Busch’s ex-girlfriend Patricia Driscoll emerges that could explain his “assassin” claims.

When news broke that NASCAR driver Kurt Busch testified in court that his girlfriend Patricia Driscoll, who he is charged with assaulting, was a trained assassin, many thought he was nuts. It is an outlandish and ridiculous claim that seems “out there” and a stretch.

“Everybody on the outside can tell me I’m crazy, but I lived on the inside and saw it firsthand,” Kurt Busch said when questioned by his attorney Rusty Hardin, via ESPN.

He, and others, claimed they heard Driscoll brag about her conquests, taking down foreign governments and being the inspiration for a female character in Zero Dark Thirty, the movie about Osama Bin Laden’s assassination.

Of course Driscoll denounced these claims.

“These statements made about being a trained assassin, hired killer, are ludicrous and without basis and are an attempt to destroy my credibility,” Driscoll said. “Not even Rusty Hardin believes this.”

“I find it interesting that some of the outlandish claims come straight from a fictional movie script I’ve been working on for eight years,” Driscoll added.

While Busch’s claims seemed a bit outlandish and crazy, a video has surfaced that has made that all seem a bit less “out there.” In the controversial video that has gone viral, it shows Driscoll talking about her defense company, working for the United States government and shooting lots of guns.

It doesn’t validate Busch’s claims that she was an assassin by any means, and she doesn’t claim to be one outright in the video. But it certainly could explain where Busch got the notion from and why he interpreted things the way he did.
