If you haven’t figure it out yet, Twitter can be a very dangerous world. 140 characters or less for celebrities needs to be analyzed deeply before hitting that official tweet button.

Los Angleles Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan has figured that out tonight. Jordan’s become the latest victim in a rumor-filled world based on a simple tweet.

Earlier tonight he sent this sudden message out to the world:

Then, as so many athletes do when feeling the hot water of controversy, he deleted it.

Now, something is back up on his account, but it’s definitely not the original:

Ladies and gentlemen, the man is brilliant.

What a save by Jordan. Instead of forward for the Clippers, he should be manning the pipes for the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center instead of two-time Stanley Cup Champion Jonathan Quick.

Immediate speculation was that Jordan knew he was on the move. And coming on the same night that Lance Stephenson, Brook Lopez and Jeremy Lamb involved in a three-way deal, it made for some good late-night chat.

Jordan is currently serving the fourth year of a four-year contract, which was created when the Clippers matched the Golden State Warriors offer sheet in 2011. Because of the expiring contract, it seems plausible that LA could ship him out.

At the same time, though, because teammates Chris Douglass-Roberts and Reggie Bullock were recently shipped to Boston and Phoenix respectively, it’s also likely that Jordan will get away with his “nice save” by tweaking his original Tweet.
