Defensive end Justin Tuck said the New York Giants stopped Tom Brady from becoming the greatest quarterback to ever play.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is arguably one of the best at his position of all time. Brady won three Super Bowls, and lost two, but if he had one those two there might be little debate about whether or not he was the greatest quarterback of all time.

At least that is what former New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said.

“If it wasn’t for the Giants, I think Brady would go down, no question, as the greatest quarterback to ever play the game,” Tuck said, as transcribed by NJ.com’s Nick Powell. “So I’m glad we were able to steal two from him.”

As Tuck alluded to, the Giants handed the Patriots and Brady those two Super Bowl losses. One of which came as the Patriots were looking to complete an undefeated season.

Though if Tuck had to pick one quarterback to win a post season game, he did say during an appearance on ESPN Radio’s Michael Kay Show that he would pick Brady instead of Eli Manning, the quarterback who helped Tuck win that pair of Super Bowl rings.

While Manning helped him win those rings no rational person could fault him for saying he’d want Brady to be his quarterback in the postseason in an ideal situation. The man has led his team to five Super Bowl appearances and won three rings.
