New England Patriots (-6.5) over Indianapolis Colts

If this was a full touchdown, I may take the Colts. That should be an indication that I don’t feel very strongly about this line.

When taking an underdog of less than a touchdown, you have to believe that the team can and (potentially) will win, and I don’t see that here. Andrew Luck is very, very good at playing football, but he’s one of the only things that I trust against the Patriots and their scheme. New England will undoubtedly force the Colts into becoming one-dimensional for the duration of the game, and that could prove costly for the road team.

More than anything, I’m riding with Tom Brady. This has a feeling of a coronation march to the Super Bowl, and when the team with the better defense (by a wide margin) is playing at home, having Tom Brady on your side is just the icing on the cake. I don’t like laying points, but give them here, and look for a 7-to-10 point decision.
