Rob Gronkowski trolls everyone over Deflate-gate
By Cory Buck
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski tweeted out a GIF in response to the spiraling publicity gained by ‘Deflate-Gate’.
If you ask for Rob Gronkowski’s two cents, that’s all you’re getting. Two words, tops. Gronk Smash. Gronk Catch. Gronk Score. That’s how the legend has built itself as it surrounds the best tight end in the NFL. Now, the New England Patriots touchdown machine is using his Gronk Spike to send a more nuanced message to those accusing the team of intentionally deflating footballs in their AFC Championship Game thrashing of the Indianapolis Colts.

Look at that turf explosion. Who spikes the pigskin better than Gronk? We submit that none toss that bad boy down with more emphasis than the big man. After the Colts held Gronkowski off the score sheet for the first half, the defense had to endure such a spike after giving up a five-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady to his favorite target.
We’re not sure a spike can deflate a ball on its own, but if there’s anyone equipped to flatten that baby out with a toss, it’s big Gronk.
The Patriots have endured a great deal of heat in the days after their 45-7 victory over the Colts. An Indiana-based reporter accused the team of deflating the footballs it used on offense, which teed off a day of Patriots haters and others poking fun at the team.
Some truly believe the team cheated while many others piled on simply because it’s fun to pile on when the Patriots are involved. Nothing personal, New England fans.
It even got to the point where well-known retailers were taking jabs at the Patriots.
Finally, Rob Gronkowski had enough and took to social media to offer a Gronk Jab to those doubters the veracity of the team’s victory.
And who can blame him for standing up for the win? It’s not like the Colts had any prayer of winning this game, regardless of what ball the teams used or what field they played on for that matter. The Patriots were in a different league than the Colts on Sunday and that, more than anything, is likely the message Gronk would like to pass on in the form of a turf-busting GIF.
