Kam Chancellor

The 3-time Pro Bowl safety will most likely draw the assignment of shadowing Gronkowski throughout the game and linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright will also take turns checking him as well. However Chancellor, who is one of the best safeties in football in coverage, matches up the best with Gronk. His size (6 ft-3), speed, and physical stature is the perfect combination of a player that’s built to slow down a physical beast like Gronkowski.

Chancellor is a part of the Legion of Boom — which is the finest secondary I’ve ever seen — and if that group can somehow make the best tight end in football a nonfactor, then the game totally plays in the Seahawks favor. As ridiculously formidable and crazy good as Earl Thomas, Byron Maxwell, and Richard Sherman are, their running mate Kam Chancellor might very well serve as the most important defensive player on the field for the Seahawks. I can’t wait for that Gronk vs Kam matchup.
