Reports in Spain claim that Manchester Utd’s goalkeeper agrees terms with Real Madrid

David De Gea is rumored to have agreed terms with Spanish giants Real Madrid which comes as a shock to nobody. The 24 year old has been linked with Madrid since hitting top form right around the time Iker Casilias fell from the limelight. De Gea who is now 24 has been the silver lining in the cloud that is Manchester Utd of late, and the English club seem to be struggling to keep their man.

Though Manchester Utd have claimed they have no intention of selling their number one keeper, the signing of Victor Valdes led to even more speculation. Metro.co.uk have reported that Real Madrd have agreed terms with De Gea for the end of the season, so Utd may be keeping him through this transfer window at least. De Gea has reportedly been frustrated with Utd due to a delay in offering him a new contract. However, I don’t think it would take any such reason to force a move to the giants that are Real Madrid. When Madrid come calling, it’s not many who turn them down.

It’s also been rumored that a deal could be brokered between the clubs which would send De Gea to Madrid while Welsh Wizard Gareth Bale goes in the opposite direction. You would think such a deal would please the Utd faithful, but no. A recent pole shows that the supporters in Manchester, the majority at least; want De Gea to stay.

Man Utd currently sit fourth in the English Premier League, one point off 5th. It’s safe to say that the fight for 4th place and a coveted spot in the Champions League will go right down to the wire, and De Gea’s services will be most definitely be needed between now and May. However, if they don’t qualify for next years competition you can put your house on De Gea confirming todays reports linking him with Mardid.
