FanDuel Daily Picks: Fantasy Basketball Lineup, January 24
Shooting Guard Picks
High Salary: While there aren’t any huge names on the board for tonight, Joe Johnson has the highest salary at 6,300 and is playing in a great matchup against the Jazz who have allowed more FanDuel points to opposing SG than any other team in the league over their last ten games. Johnson does contribute in multiple categories with rebounds, steals, and assists helping him on his way to 20 FanDuel points in nine of his last ten games and each of his last four. When his shots are dropping, he can get you over 30 FanDuel piotns and he should see plenty of minutes in tonight’s favorable matchup.
High Salary: Trying to help Portland fill in the scoring gap with Aldridge out, Wesley Matthews has scored at least 17 points in each of his last four games while adding solid rebounds and steals as well. Matthews has put up at least 25 FanDuel points in each of those four contests and will be called upon again tonight with Nicolas Batum also most likely on the sidelines. Washington usually limits opposing SG, but Matthews is playing well enough and will play a large enough role to overlook that for tonight.
High Value: Among the cheap SG options, O.J. Mayo is one of the more sure options as he comes off the bench for the Bucks tonight. Mayo has scored double-digit points in each of his last six games and has at least 19 FanDuel points in each of those contests. He hasn’t played huge minutes, but the production has been there and should be again tonight right around the 20-point range.
High Value: Another value option in a slightly lower price range with slightly lower scoring is Kentavious Caldwell-Pope of the Pistons who has scored at least ten points in each of his last four games. KCP has at least 15 FanDuel points in each of those games and plays a huge amount of minutes for the Pistons which makes him low-risk and able to produce in plenty of categories across the board.
