3. New York Knicks

Reggie Jackson would be a perfect fit for what the New York Knicks are needing. They are currently 8-37 so far this season, and don’t have all that much to work with at the point guard position. Adding Jackson to the roster would give them their point guard, and Carmelo Anthony would finally have a legitimate running mate.

New York could offer a fairly attractive trade package involving Jose Calderon, Jason Smith, and Tim Hardaway Jr. in return for Jackson and Kendrick Perkins.

If that offer was indeed put on the table, it would be hard for either team to pass on it. Oklahoma City would be getting a very solid backup point guard to go along with a talented young scorer and a good bench backup big man. New York on the hand would be getting their point guard of the future to go along with a nice expiring contract.

Phil Jackson would be more than happy to make a trade for Jackson if the opportunity presented itself. It wouldn’t be surprising to see these two teams talk about a potential deal, and the Knicks have some pieces that would interest the Thunder if they did begin talking about the framework of a deal.
