Super Bowl XLIX takes place February 1 in Glendale, AZ. The game features the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks and the AFC champion New England Patriots. Both teams were No. 1 seeds in their conference, as was the case last year as well.

The back-to-back No. 1 seeds facing one another in the Super Bowl had only happened once before in the 49-years of the Super Bowl. It was 1983 and 1984, when the matchups were the Washington Redskins versus the Los Angeles Raiders and San Francisco 49ers versus Miami Dolphins.

There is so much to know about this monumental even, which in 2015 has become both a full week happening and a holiday all in one.
