Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers surprised Hometown Heroes kids and interviewed them about the entire project and hung out with them.

Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks that the NFL has seen in its history, and is arguably the best quarterback currently playing the game. He was unable to lead the Green Bay Packers past the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game, but is doing even more important things than playing the football now that his offseason has begun.

Camp Hometown Heroes is a counseling program for kids that have lost parents in the military, and Rodgers sat down with four kids to hang out with and interview them. Needless to say, they were excited to have a star NFL quarterback join them. This isn’t the first time that Rodgers has surprised kids off-the-field, and he has always been very good in the community.

After watching the video, it is hard not to get behind these kids and what they are doing. Losing a parent is always difficult, but it is even more difficult at a young age. Some of the comments on the quilt that they had were heartbreaking, but Camp Hometown Heroes is doing everything they can to help them through that tough time.

There is no question that these kids had the time of their lives with Rodgers, and that is what is most important. Rodgers can do everything on the field perfectly and win championships, but nothing will be more important than getting in the community and being a role model for kids like these.

On the football side of things, Rodgers is still remaining grounded despite having one of the best seasons of his career. He ended up throwing for 4,381 yards, 38 touchdowns, and just five interceptions.

These type of stories are few and far between in the NFL, and it is sad that we hear more about domestic violence and drunk driving more than we hear of players living up to their role model status. Rodgers has been one of the best off-the-field players in the league, and this type of thing is extremely good to see.

It is going to be very interesting to see what the future holds for Rodgers both on and off the field. One thing is a fact, and that fact is that Rodgers isn’t going to allow his fame or fortune to distract him from what is most important in life.

Helping out the world that looks up to him is still very important to Rodgers, and that won’t change anytime soon.
