Louisville’s Montrezl Harrell used incredible athleticism to finish off an errant lob

Louisville is currently facing North Carolina in a conference game between two decorated programs. During the Saturday afternoon showdown, Louisville forward Montrezl Harrell made an incredible to slam home with what appeared to be an errant lob on an alley-oop attempt.

The lob to Harrell had two problems: It was too high and too off-center to slam home.

Don’t tell that to Harrell, though, who showed incredible jumping ability to get high enough to grab it and great hands to take the ball and slam it with only one hand back in while off balance.

Harrell is a guy who is expected to be a lottery prospect in next year’s draft with his athletic ability and his ability to score.

Saturday against North Carolina, he put all his tools on display in front of a national audience. He was a key member of the Louisville team that defeated Michigan to win the national championship and his abilities will surely have many NBA front offices pining to draft him.

It was an impressive slam from an impressive talent. Nine times out ten, that pass would head out of bounds or bounce to the other team. Harrell, however, is a special talent who can make that one time in ten play.
