Jay Cutler’s future with the Chicago Bears is murky at best, but if his NFL career doesn’t work, maybe he could have a second career as a pro wrestler as one WWE diva suggests.

The Chicago Bears have a decision to make with much maligned quarterback Jay Cutler who is at a career crossroads after a disappointing 2014 season that saw him benched for one game.

He has guaranteed money owed to him the next two seasons that will make him difficult to be traded so the odds are in favor of him returning to Chicago for at least one more year under new head coach and general manager John Fox and Ryan Pace.

It has been a love-hate relationship with Cutler in Chicago where he is without question the most talented quarterback the franchise has had in their long and storied history, but he is also one of the most frustrating and polarizing athletes in Chicago sports history.

If his time in Chicago ends this offseason or in the next year or two he will most assuredly sign with another team in a quarterback-starved league, but what about a radical career transformation if he doesn’t get a starting job?

One WWE diva tells USA Today he’d make for a great wrestler because Bears fans love to hate him and he could be the perfect heel.

She is right, there are a ton of Bears who love to hate Cutler and blame him for anything and everything that can go wrong and does go wrong for the Bears. Heck, he gets blamed when it snows in Chicago and McDonald’s screws up your order.

He’s one symptom of the larger problem in Chicago, but the diva is also not suggesting Cutler retire from the NFL and begin training for a career in the WWE. It makes for a good barroom discussion or during halftime of your Super Bowl party, unless you’re dialed in on Katy Perry, but which NFL players would you think make great pro wrestlers.

My list starts with Rob Gronkowski and J.J. Watt and I think if they teamed up they’d be the tag team champions of the world until the end of time.
