5. Denver Nuggets

Brian Shaw and the Denver Nuggets would make a lot of sense for Lance Stephenson, especially due to their history together with the Indiana Pacers. Stephenson was mentored by Shaw throughout his tenure there, and perhaps a reunion would do both sides good.

Denver has been struggling once again this year, and they are likely to be very open to potential trades. A swap of Stephenson and Jeffery Taylor for Arron Afflalo and Randy Foye would make a lot of sense for both sides. Stephenson might be exactly the type of player that the Nuggets need to ignite some energy into their lineup.

The Hornets aren’t going to trade Stephenson just to make a deal, but Afflalo and Foye would fit exactly what they have been needing.

Adding those two players would improve their shooting and defense, and would likely improve their team chemistry as well.

Afflalo would be an excellent addition for the Hornets, and would bring the all-around game that they were hoping to get with Stephenson. Foye would be a solid bench piece to help improve their depth. Denver would be getting the player with the most upside int he deal, and Stephenson would fit very well into the system that Shaw is running.
