At 26 years old, Chicago Blackhawks right wing Patrick Kane has already put up 58 points for his team this season, and is now in the running to win the Art Ross trophy.

It’s now being discussed that Chicago Blackhawks right winger Patrick Kane could potentially be named the number one American-born NHL point scorer of all time.

Currently, the Art Ross trophy is held by Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby. However, with 11 players already over 50 points this season, the trophy is definitely up for grabs, and Patrick Kane is in the running to take it home.

Patrick Kane is known for his dynamic ability to wheel around his opponents and find the back of the net in tight situations, with his stick handling skills on a level of their own. Despite his size, Kane has never ceased to prove himself time and time again.

Also in the running for the Art Ross are players such as Philadelphia Flyers Jakub Voracek, who is currently tied for first with Patrick Kane at 58 points this season, Dallas Stars Tyler Seguin, and the current trophy holder Penguins  captain Sidney Crosby.

Although these guys are extremely dominant players in the league, Kane might be favored to win it this season, and he deserves it. ESPN reporters have made their predictions, stating that Kane could potentially put up an insane 91 points this season, with 41 of them being goals.

It seems crazy to think of a player netting the puck 41 times in a season, but this is definitely a possibility for Kane.

The Blackhawks are currently sitting with a record of 32-18-2, and tied for third in the Western Conference.
