Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback Russell Wislon enjoyed the erotic movie everyone is talking about, “50 Shades of Grey.”

Russell Wilson is probably one of the most beloved people in Seattle. After leading his team to consecutive Super Bowls, one of which they won, Wilson can probably do whatever he wants. After seeing a screening of the classic erotic novel, now film, 50 Shades of Grey, people are apparently mad at Wilson for seeing the movie.

50 Shades of Grey appears to have many people upset that a film with its subject matter was released and are worried the impact it could have on their children.

Nonetheless despite being one of Seattle’s favorite people, it appears Wilson can’t freely see the film without getting blasted either. Wilson, a devout Christian began getting persecuted for his faith as well.

That was just one example of many similar tweets.

Wilson however had a respectful followup for everyone who was upset over his choice of film.

Wilson is a grown adult who has the right to choose what film he sees regardless of people’s religion or views. While his choice might come across as offensive to some because of the fact Wilson is seen as a great role model, and they might feel this will tarnish some of that, at the end of the day, he’s free to do what he wants and was there to support his city.

Choosing to see a cheesy flick based off an erotic novel shouldn’t be a reason to think differently of him.
